Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit.
Being healthy should be part of an overall lifestyle. Feeling good about yourself and taking care of your personal self are important for self-esteem and self-image.
Regular things you do, create habits that may be hard to change. Habits often become automatic which happen without much thought. The first step to changing your behavior is to create an awareness around what you do regularly. To develop these habits a child needs to be made aware from a very young age.
To inculcate these personal hygiene habits, a session was conducted by the teachers at P.P Savani Cambridge International School for our students of Grade I to V.. The session included general habits of brushing teeth, taking bath daily, wearing clean clothes and maintaining a clean self. The importance of cleanliness of body parts was conveyed to the students. This also included minor self care habits of proper cleaning of hair, ears, scalp, feet etc.
At a young age, the children aren’t aware of good and bad touch. To make them aware about the good/bad touch a small video was shown to the girls of Grade I to V which clarified the kind of touch on parts that makes them happy or sad.
We know that making healthy choices can help us feel better and live longer. We hope these lessons become life-long habits for our school students which they take up in their whole life.
