Since its inception the Career Guidance and Counselling Department at PPSCIS has been counselling students when counselling was still a new term in our society. Students are trained from an early age to take these aptitude tests required for their university applications.

Career counselling aids students to recognize their skill sets and interests, and they are guided accordingly by administering standardised aptitude tests and helping them make the right choice of subjects for their higher education and careers. Secondary and Higher Secondary School students and their parents are provided with personal and group sessions as they navigate their way through the many global university and career options available, to help them choose the most suitable courses and universities. Regular university fairs and career workshops are organised to help students gain knowledge about changing career trends and academic and university requirements.

Besides career counselling, due emphasis is laid on personal counselling to support the emotional health of our students. The PPSCIS Counsellor caters to the well-being of students in our residential school setting. The Counsellors act as facilitators, and students are encouraged to speak their mind, and let out their feelings and emotions without interruption. This helps students introspect, which enables the Counsellor to guide them to handle the matter on their own. However, personal guidance is provided whenever required. Students are helped to identify their learning styles and further guided if they need additional learning support from teachers or specialists.

“ When we help students know their values and learn about themselves, we enable them to identify their skills and strengths, propelling them toward a better future realising their dreams and goals.”
