Football Competition

Dear Parents/Students,

You are hereby notified that a Football Competition has been organized in our school with an aim to cultivate a team spirit among our students. The match will be held in our football playground. Following are the details.

Rules of the Game:

• Each team will have 8 participants with 4 extra players.
• The games will begin at 10:30 AM on both days.
• Time duration for the Preliminary Round will be 15+5+15 minutes.
• Time duration for the Final Round will be 20+5+20 minutes.
• There is a 5 minute gap between each game. Teams must be ready to take the pitch as soon as the previous match gets over.
• Winning team of the preliminary round will be selected for the Final Round and the remaining teams will play for the 3rd position. The duration for the final round will be 20+5+20.
• Teams will be told which way they will be kicking at the start of the game.
• Teams should be present before 10 min of the game. If not, a walkover will be awarded to the opposite team.
• Ball can be thrown from the sideline.
• Corner and free kick can be both direct or indirect.
• D area foul will be considered for penalty.
• Compulsory line up and handshake to finish.
• Any kind of misbehavior is not accepted from the players. Yellow or red cards will be given for violation of any rules of the game.
• If any player gets a red card, he will not be allowed to play any football match thereafter.
• For the Final Round, if there is a tie, 5 penalty shots will be given to each team. If there is a tie again, the final decision will be made by a TOSS.
• All the teams will have to wear house uniforms with the goalkeeper having a distinctly different coloured shirt.
• All the participants need to compulsorily wear the football shoes and studs.
• Decision of the referee will be final.

The above mentioned dates are subject to change depending on the weather conditions.
