MAC Art Competition

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”

A lot has been said and written about art and artists, but we as educators can never stress the importance of art and artists enough. Art forces humans to look beyond that which is necessary to survive and leads people to create for the sake of expression and meaning. Humans have had a relationship with art, in one form or another, since time immemorial. People appreciate art in different ways, whether it’s music, dance, poetry, drawings, paintings, or even graffiti. Some like to be directly involved in the creation of the art (artists) while others like to experience and appreciate it. Whatever the case, the arts play a big role in how humans see and interact with others and the world in general. Specifically art helps students emotionally and psychologically, and even helps to shape their individual and collective personality.

As an appreciation for Art, a colouring competition was held at PPSCIS on 21st July 2022, organized by MAC Foundation. Students of grades 1 to 6 participated in this competition and were given pre-drawn sheets to colour and paint according to their level. The competition was held at Mini Auditorium and was presided over by our talented art instructor Mr. Shlok Dhakhada. The aim of the competition was not only to encourage the best but inspire every kid to explore the artist within and show hidden talent. The students participated  enthusiastically and were happy to express their creativity.
