REPORT ON SPELL BEE COMPETITION
“Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.”
Language plays an important role in the all round development of a student. Appropriate words with correct spelling conveys the right message.
The Spell Bee Competition is conducted to give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways, enrich their vocabulary, learn concepts and develop the use of correct English.The objective of the competition was to enhance the spelling and literary skills of children by encouraging them to explore the English language, expand their vocabulary and improve their communication and comprehension skills. This helps students to improve spelling, vocabulary, learning concepts and pronunciation. This language development programme comprises learning through play way method and a healthy competition is thus encouraged. It is also an endeavor to keep pace with technology , the demands of the new age.
Preliminary round for the Spell Bee Competition was conducted on 3rd August, 2022 for Std I to XII.The final Inter- House Spell Bee Competition for Std I to XIII was organized on 24 August, 2022.The rounds for the competition were as follows:
Round I: Jumbled Letters
Round II: Scattergories
Round III: Pictureka
Round IV: Who am I (I to VI), Expressions Round (VII & XII)
There were three participants in each house and the winner house was as follow:

Children participated earnestly in the competition.Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by one and all.
Teachers facilitated the smooth organization and execution of the event.Summing up, the competition helped the children to familiarize with the spellings and usage of many unfamiliar words.
