Save Environment Plantation

Date: 15/06/2022                                        Plantation Drive

“He who plants a tree, plants a hope”

Trees provide us with many benefits necessary for survival, including clean air,
access to clean water, shade and food. They also give us hope and insight, and
courage to persevere – even in the harshest conditions. Trees teach us to stay
rooted while soaring to great heights. The biggest crisis staring us in the eye is the
climate change everyone is talking about. One of the easiest ways to help with it is
planting as many trees as one can and restore the environmental balance.
In view of the Save the Environment initiative by PPSCIS, students of the school
cheerfully brought saplings and seeds to make the environment a greener and
happier place. Students of grade 1 st to 5 th participated in the plantation drive were
guided by their teachers – Our primary head Ms. Roopa Shridhar, Activity in
charges Ms. Jyoti Gadepalli and Mr. Jitendra Thakare and teachers Ms. Trupti
Gondaliya, Ms. Jalpa Kundaliya, Ms. Renu Arya, Ms. Anuradha Sharma, MS.
Charulata Kapadiya and Ms. Niyati Desai. The plantations were done in the
backyard of the school which was cleared and prepared for the plantation drive in
advance. The students learnt the importance of planting trees and seeds and how
these little impacts create a big wave of change. They also learnt to handle the
gardening equipment and the basics of gardening. They practically felt the joy, this
green activity gives our hearts and the peace it creates in our lives. A society
becomes great when people plant trees, under whose shade they will never sit, the
fruits of which they’ll never enjoy.
