“A visit to the nursery is a journey into the world of nature’s little wonders.”
The Pre-Primary students of P. P. Savani Cambridge International School visited the nursery as part of their learning activity. During the visit, children observed different types of indoor and outdoor plants. They saw indoor plants like Money Plant, Snake Plant, Aloe Vera, Peace Lily, and Spider Plant, along with outdoor plants such as Rose, Hibiscus, Marigold, Neem, Mango, and Ashoka Tree. Teachers explained how indoor plants help purify the air while outdoor plants give us oxygen, fruits, shade, and medicines.
Students were also introduced to the parts of a plant – roots, stem, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds – and learned how each part plays an important role in the life of a plant. They enjoyed watching the gardener watering and caring for the plants, which helped them understand that plants need sunlight, water, soil, and air to grow. They were delighted to touch the leaves, smell the flowers, and notice the various shapes, sizes, and colours found in nature.
The nursery visit was a joyful and enriching experience. It not only improved the students knowledge of indoor and outdoor plants but also developed in them love, care, and responsibility towards protecting the environment.
