Rainbow Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in the kindergarten section of P.P Savani Cambridge International School to help students recognize and enjoy different colours through fun-filled and age-appropriate activities. The classes looked bright and cheerful as students came dressed in beautiful rainbow-coloured outfits, creating an exciting learning environment. The celebration aimed to make colour learning interactive, joyful, and meaningful for young learners.
For Nursery students, a simple and engaging visual activity was conducted in which children placed colourful gems in a white plate and gently poured water over them. As the water spread, students observed the appearance of beautiful rainbow colours. This activity helped them recognize basic colours, improved their observation skills, and enhanced their curiosity and sensory development. The hands-on experience made learning colours easy and enjoyable for the little ones.
Junior KG students participated in an activity using a prism, where they observed how a rainbow is formed. This activity helped them understand the concept of different colours and encouraged scientific thinking, curiosity, and careful observation. It also helped build early awareness of natural phenomena in a simple and interesting way.
Senior KG students enjoyed a creative hand bands making activity using colourful beads and cute charms. They selected beads of different colours and designed their own hand bands. This activity enhanced colour recognition, creativity, fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, and concentration while allowing children to express themselves freely.
A photo session was also held to capture the happy moments of the celebration. Overall, Rainbow Day was a delightful and memorable experience. The day was filled with fun, learning, and excitement, helping students enjoy and learn colours in a playful and joyful manner.
