Nothing can be more interesting than an educational trip. On 16/10/2023 students of Grade VI – IX were given an opportunity to visit the Sumul Dairy, one of the largest cooperatives flourishing in Gujarat.
After reaching their premises, students were escorted to the visitor’s hall and welcomed with cold ‘lassi’. The perfect balance of sweet and sour was tantalizing for taste buds and was a refreshing shelter from the hot sun. Students were then introduced to the Sumul Co-operative by one of their staff. He also gave a detailed explanation of the Amul venture and how the milk is collected and pasteurized. He also presented an analysis of their sales and predicted turn over. Over 21 lakh liter milk is collected daily from various places and processed at the plant.
After gathering this information, students were taken for a tour of the plant. The students witnessed the packaging of milk, processing of butter and paneer, milk skimming and huge pasteurization containers.
In conclusion, this educational trip was amazing and students learned much about the dairy industry which was a surprising and fantastic experience.
