FOOTBALL COMPETITION
Dear Parents and Students,
Greetings!
We are pleased to announce the Inter-House Football Competition for students of Grades VI–XII. The competition aims to encourage team spirit, sportsmanship, discipline and healthy competition among our students.
The matches will be conducted on the school football playground. The details are as follows:

Rules & Regulations
- Each team will consist of 8 players and 4 extra players.
- All teams must report to the venue at least 10 minutes before their scheduled match. Failure to do so may result in a walkover being awarded to the opposing team.
- The matches will commence at 11:30 a.m.
- The duration of the Semi-Final will be 10 + 5 + 10 minutes.
- The duration of the Final will be 20 + 5 + 20 minutes.
- The teams qualifying from the Semi-Finals will proceed to the Final Round.
- The direction of play will be decided and communicated by the officials at the beginning of the match.
- The ball may be thrown in from the sideline.
- Corner kicks and free kicks may be either direct or indirect, as applicable.
- A foul committed inside the D-area/penalty area will result in a penalty.
- All players must participate in the compulsory line-up and handshake at the end of the match.
- Any form of misbehaviour, indiscipline or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. Yellow or red cards may be issued for violations of the rules.
- A player receiving a red card will be disqualified from participating in the subsequent football matches of the competition.
- In case of a tie in the Final Round, each team will be awarded five penalty shots. If the scores remain tied, the winner will be decided by a toss.
- All players must wear their respective House uniforms. The goalkeeper must wear a distinctly coloured shirt.
- All participants must compulsorily wear appropriate football shoes/studs.
- The decision of the referee will be final and binding.
- Students are expected to maintain discipline and demonstrate respect, teamwork and good sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Note: The above-mentioned dates are subject to change depending on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
