PPSCIS hosted an inter-house chess competition to provide its students a platform to improve their logical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem solving on 20th July, International Chess Day. Federation Internationale des Echecs (FIDE) was founded on this day in 1924.
The students from Grades V- XII represented their houses with vigor, determination and a thirst to win. The various twists and turns during the games had the spectators on the edge of their seats and the players were all geared up to beat their opponents in nail-biting matches. It was indeed heartwarming to see the students playing their games with rapt attention in true sportsman spirit.
