REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATIONS AY:24-25
International Yoga Day is observed every year on the twenty-first of June to raise awareness about this ancient practice and to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. Yoga is a practice which plays an important role in relaxing the mind and body and boosting people’s immune system.
International Yoga Day was celebrated at P.P Savani Cambridge International School on the twenty-first of June 2024 in the big auditorium. All the teachers and students participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
The event began with a brief introduction on yoga day by the PE instructors. Students of all ages were guided and instructed to perform a plethora of yoga asanas.
The students stretched their arms, bent their legs, rolled their neck and twisted every sinew in their body with great dexterity in a spectacular synchronicity with English and Hindi instructions.
The event was also attended by our special guest, Master Reyansh Surani whose most notable achievement has been being the world’s youngest certified Yoga teacher at the age of nine.
Master Reyansh Surani instructed all the students on the utmost essence of yoga in their lives on one hand and on the other how to maintain the glorious harmony between body and mind.
The international yoga day celebrations ended with a huge success at our school under the supervision of our Principal, Ms. Anjali Varma and our coordinator Ms.Roopa Sridhar Narayan.
