Report on Onam Celebration
“A time when happiness blossoms like flowers and traditions warm our hearts”
“On September 13, 2024, P.P. Savani Cambridge International School’s pre-primary students celebrated Onam, Kerala’s vibrant harvest festival, with great enthusiasm. This festive occasion honors King Mahabali’s selfless sacrifice and unwavering commitment to his people.
Children brought different colour flowers from home and were engaged in making a colorful pookalam. In a collaborative effort, students and staff created a stunning ‘pookalam’ – a colorful flower carpet – symbolizing peace, serenity, human justice, and nature conservation. This collective artwork adorned the school corridor, showcasing teamwork, creativity, and cultural awareness.
The Onam celebration was a resounding success, fostering a sense of community and belonging among kindergarten students. This event reinforced the school’s dedication to preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage.
