REPORT ON POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION AT P.P. SAVANI CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Should poetry be read in quiet solitude, enjoyed in silence? Or is poetry at its best when it is being declaimed, recited for an audience, and read aloud for the world to hear? The answer, of course, is ‘both’ and ‘it perhaps depends on the poem’.
On July 23, 2024, P.P. Savani Cambridge International School hosted a captivating poem recitation competition in the Mini Auditorium. This delightful event featured students from grades 1 to 5, who took turns showcasing their creativity, speaking talents, and stage confidence.
The competition was judged by Ms. Shiji and Ms. Prashya, both of whom are well-respected for their expertise. The event was meticulously organised under the supervision of our esteemed coordinator, Ms. Roopa Shridhar.
The young poets mesmerised the audience with their recitations, creating a melodious atmosphere that was enjoyed by both the speakers and the listeners. It was a wonderful activity that provided everyone involved with immense joy and a memorable experience.
