Report on Field Trip to Nature Park & Zoo – Pre Primary
“An animal’s eyes have the power to speak a great language”
Sarthana Nature Park & Zoo was built with the aim of conserving, preserving and raising awareness. It is known to protect and breed endangered species, found locally or regionally. Therefore, P.P. Savani Cambridge International school planned a “Field Trip to Nature Park & Zoo” on 4th October 2023, for the Pre-Primary students with an objective to educate them on the same. This trip was specifically arranged to celebrate the World Animal Day, a global initiative towards animal rights and welfare.
Pre-primary students were in awe looking at all the animals and birds at the zoo. They saw animals like antelopes, black bucks, crocodiles, gharials, bears, hyenas and leopards. A variety of birds like Ostrich, Emus, Peacocks and parrots were also present in the zoo. Though, the highlight of the visit was the Asiatic Lion, the pride of the jungle which is only found in Gujarat in the world.
Children learnt, observed and realized the importance of conservation. They were also made aware of the threat of their extinction due to environmental changes. They were overjoyed to learn about various animals and birds; even the teachers basked in all the information. It was an amusing educational trip enjoyed by one and all.
