The Janmashtami celebration held at P. P. SAVANI CAMBRIDGE INT. SCHOOL on 3rd September 2026, an event that showcased the vibrant participation of students across all three sections: pre-primary, primary, and secondary. The celebration was a joyous and festive occasion, providing a wonderful opportunity for students to engage with and learn about Indian culture and traditions. The event included:
- The Assemble time based on the theme of Janmashtami.
- Preprimary and Primary students dressed in Radha and Krishna outfit.
- Secondary Matki fod activity.
Assembly:
Our young primary students demonstrated a small skit based on the birth of Lord Krishna, few glimpses of his life and Ras Lila of Krishna and Radha. The performance concluded with a choir of primary students leading the audience in classic devotional bhajans. The efforts by the teachers and students for the whole performance were commendable.
Pre-Primary and primary section celebration:
Our youngest students in the pre-primary children, dressed in colorful traditional attire, were full of enthusiasm as they moved around dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha. Their infectious energy and pure joy made this a highlight of the day.
Secondary: Matki Phod
The celebration concluded with a high-spirited Matki Phod activity for our senior school students post Lunch. The Boys and Girls of secondary section made separate teams. The Boys teamed up house wise. The students formed human pyramids to reach and break the pot, demonstrating impressive teamwork, strategy, and physical coordination. The celebration was fierce but friendly, with the students cheering each other’s team.
Overall, the Janmashtami celebration was a resounding success, bringing the entire school community together in a spirit of joy and festivity.
